Good value for money!

This tour covered all the sites I wanted to see and made my visit so much easier! The buses were frequent, so we didn't have to wait for long. Boarding was really easy, we just used our smartphones, and the audio guide on board taught me a lot. The tour offers good value for money, and it is an efficient way to see all of Rome in a short amount of time, especially considering it was my first time there. I highly recommend it!

Convenient transportation & great views of Rome

The Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Rome was a lot more convenient for city sightseeing in Rome than regular buses because it takes you directly to all the monuments, and we got a map of the bus route. The best part about this tour is that the big bus has an open top, so you get great views of the city. I loved looking out at the streets of Rome. The staff was friendly, the buses were well-maintained, and the booking was really easy.

DESCRIPTION

Hop-On Hop-Off Rome Bus Tour

VISIT ALL THE MOST POPULAR PLACES IN ROME

The Hop-On Hop-Off Rome Bus Tour takes you to the most famous landmarks in Rome. You can start by seeing the Colosseum. Hop off at bus stop number 3 and see the symbol of the Roman Empire, famous for gladiator battles. While you're there, consider the Colosseum Virtual Reality Tour as it shows the fights in a clear and vivid way. The Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, where you can see palaces and temples from various historical periods, are a short walk away from the amphitheater. Get off at bus stop number 5 to visit Piazza Venezia and the Vittorio Emanuele II Monument, which was built to celebrate the unification of Italy and its first king. The Pantheon is close by. It is a 2,000-year-old monument and, before modern times, was known for having the biggest dome. We recommend organizing your visit by location. The Colosseum, the Circus Maximus, Piazza Venezia, and the Capitoline Museums are all close to each other. You can take a full day and visit them all at once.

CROSS COUNTRY BORDERS TO ENTER THE VATICAN

The bus stop number 6 is the closest to Vatican City. Stroll along the Tiber River and see Castel Sant'Angelo before heading to St. Peter's Square in the Vatican, where papal audiences are held. You can visit St. Peter's Basilica, a major pilgrimage site where you can see Michelnagelo's Pietà. The Vatican Museums exhibit some of the most famous works of art ever created, such as the "School of Athens'' by Raphael. The Sistine Chapel is another must-see in the Vatican, famous for Michelangelo's frescoes on its ceiling, notably "The Creation of Adam''. With so much to see, it’s no surprise that Vatican Museum tickets sell out fast. You can easily book the Vatican and Colosseum Ticket here and enjoy both art and history at different stops along the bus route.

SPANISH STEPS, BORGHESE GALLERY, AND MUCH MORE!

Our Hop-On Hop-Off Rome Bus Tour also passes by the Piazza di Spagna, where you can take a photo on the famed Spanish Steps. To see this landmark, get off at bus stop number 7. The Borghese Gallery is about 20 minutes away on foot, famous for works by Caravaggio and a serene park, perfect for some relaxation in the middle of the day. Check out the Papal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore at bus stop number 2. It was founded in the 5th century and houses what is believed to be a relic of the manger in which Jesus was laid in Bethlehem.

LEARN ABOUT ALL OF IT FROM OUR AUDIO GUIDE

Sightseeing bus tours in Rome are a great option if you are looking for maximum flexibility. Whichever of the city's historic sites you wish to see, simply hop off at the nearest bus stop. After some exploring and a mandatory gelato tasting, hop on the tour bus again. There are many interesting things about Rome. Did you know that some aqueducts built more than 1,500 years ago are still in use today? You can hear more stories from the Eternal City with our audio guide while we drive you to your next destination.

PRO TIP

Rome traffic can be unpredictable, especially near the Colosseum and Vatican. If you are trying to catch a specific museum entry time (like the Borghese Gallery), always leave at least 30 to 45 minutes of buffer time, even if the route looks short on the map.
